For the tourist, a visit to New york City can be an overwhelming experience. The different parts of the city alone can captivate any visitor. However, the main reason for a visit to the Museum of Modern Arts will always been its art. It has been so since it was first established by Abby Aldrich Rockefeller and two girlfriends in 1928. The museum has since housed numerous special exhibitions such as the 1935 Van Gogh exhibition that firmly established Van Gogh’s place in modern arts, and the 1939-40 Picasso retrospective.
So if you are in New York, do not let the opportunity to browse this gold mine of artistic treasures pass you by. From Monet to Dali, Van Gogh to Picasso, the Museum of Modern Art contains an unparalleled collection of works.
